Field Trip: Github/Linux

Free

Calendar May 11, 2019 at 11 am

Github is one a must-have tool for developers. It allows other people to work with you on the same project and it has a useful history log so you can go back to a previous version of your code if you mess up the code you’re working on. It’s like a Google Doc for coders, and more than that, it’s a place where you can show off your work, like a portfolio. Learn how to use it and stand out to employers.

The prerequisite is WIT 1: Exploring Web & Information Tech.

PPL: Girls Who Code + Still Processing Meetup

Free

Calendar Jan 23, 2019 at 4 pm

Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code is a supportive, fun group that helps you take the mystery out of tech and coding in a safe space. We will always have a project to work on or you can BYOP- bring your own project. We also have awesome guest speakers that will inspire you to want to learn more! Projects we’ve done in the past include a mobile app, modified a side-scrolling platform game, 3D printed jewelry and more.

Still processing

Join us for a breather where any and all female-identified people can share and think about things that are going on in our lives. No pressure to have the answers or know exactly what to say. Topics are open-ended and based on what the group is interested in. We're all still processing...

Both groups meet on alternating weeks every Wednesday. It is not required to attend both. Come when you can!

Bomb snacks are provided at both.
