Get support from peers taking the CIS 15: Introduction to Cloud Programming in Python course at Cabrillo College, work on hands-on activities that will reinforce our understanding of the material and get designated time to do our homework! This course is transferable to any UC or CSU and provides high school credit. Food will be provided.

You will also learn the fundamentals of Python and how to applys to the world of computers.

  • For Cabrillo Students enrolled in CIS 15
  • Open to WIT members that are learning python or that took WIT 1 in Spring 19

If you’re stuck in “auto mode” on your camera because “manual mode” seems too intimidating, the photography meetup is here for you!  Learn the basics of exposure and how to use the settings on your camera. Join us in this creative space to get the support and training you need to be a great photographer! During this meetup we will focus on Studio photography and editorial photoshoots. This is great for new and experienced members to create portfolio peices for their creative resume.

Let’s write a script together! In this lab we will learn about the creative writing process and short film structure, then apply those skills in co-creating a script that we will film in the Summer. This year’s script will be set in a Magical Realist world, we encourage you to come with ideas and watch one or more of the following films prior to the lab:

Learn how to think critically, solve problems, and see a project through from beginning to end alongside of a supportive team. You can transfer those skills to become a project manager, event coordinator, or a promoter. Past events coordinated by this team include holiday parties, game days, fashion shows, and movie screenings. What will our next event be? It’s up to you!
